Hit the bay on Saturday, drove up to the Point to launch and found about hundred boat trailers for a Tournament. Thanks goodness I left late due the tide movement. Hit a few spots, Hammock, Dry reef and Trash pile. Water looked great in the bay...picked up a few reds and flounder around the Weeks bay/ trash pile area....Good luck....

I've heard that the reefs in front of Redfish Point have been producing trout but you have to go through tons of whiteys; still fun. The well heads at Redfish Point compressor station have been giving up LARGE trout but not numbers. Dry Reef have a good number of trout on them, along w/ whites and sharks. Good luck and post your report.

Knock'em out. You could try spoons along the marsh grass outside of the delcambre canal. Slow fishing but always a few lurking

Go early, the SW wind decided to blow as I got to the well heads, ran back to the cove and ducked behind so docks. I ended up catching 2 16" specks and missed 2 others. Goodluck to whoever goes this morning.

got to Quintana b4 1st light. When we got out of the canal, we were hit with whitecaps and "twofers" (at least) with a strong West wind. Only place we could find out of the wind was thru Shark Bayou and into Weeks Bay. Fished the bank from near Mud Point about half way back to Shark Bayou with artificial, under a cork and/or tipped with shrimp. water dirty, NADA! Ran to the small bayou's to the East of the mouth of Shark Bayou, found clean water, caught one keeper red and two throwbacks. Hooked into a nice size shark (never seen a shark back in there before) and broke off. Tried a couple of bayou's off Shark Bayou, clean water, NADA. Ran to the Cove, not as rough as before, but water dirty. Got back to the landing and ran into a couple of LDWF "surveyors" who asked us a lot of questions. They said that even tho we only had one fish, that was more than anyone else had come in with yet. Oh well, that's why they call it fishing.

Ran out to Redfish point from ICY. Water looked good and was salty, fished along the bank and at the mouth of the canal going to the Game Wardens camps. One small croaker and a gaff top, nothing else.

Ran out to the pass and never even got a bite out there. Skunked again, headed to Venice to fish this weekend, you can always catch fish down there..................

Also hit Quintana early. Didn't think I would make it to shark bayou in the bass boat!! Ran shark bayou and fishes the cuts in mud point with no luck. Once the water calmed down I moved out on the trash pile and had a couldnt put a lure in the water without coming up with a croaker. Had some birds diving near mud point but all we could bring up we're gaftops and white trout. Water then laid considerably and I went check out around dry reef, water looked good and was pretty salty. Didn't catch there but I'm not too familiar with that area. Also ran to marsh Island water looked really good and salty but nothing there..... Also fished around the hammock but nothing.....

For those who fish the structures around dry reef and marsh island , any pointers? I checked em out but didn't know where to even start...lol
