Default Dularge Inshore Fishing Update

It's been awhile since I've posted a public report but I always post every day I fish on Facebook. You can follow me there at www.facebook.com/RobDupont3

Since my last report the trout action has been steady as it can be up until yesterday when the west winds and high Atchafalaya River water finally encroached on our fishing grounds. I feel as though the fish are still there but it will take some days of light wind from a different direction to clean up. The Tracie Macie should have showed back up today in Caillou Boca and I've been getting live croakers for insurance when he is there. Other than that we have been catching trout on single rigged plastic Reflexion Lil Bammers as well as most matrix colors. Personally, I have more control with single rigs rather than double rigs where I lose sensitivity. Double rigs tangle entirely too much with customers as well.

The bull reds showed up in front of the barrier islands earlier this week gorging themselves on the massive schools of pogey. We hooked some for fun on Tuesday.

The slot reds should show up any day now in our deeper bayous inshore in the northern Dularge area. We will be targeted those when the winds are up or until the trout start their northern migration.
