Default Cocodrie

made the drive to cocodrie, watch lightning on the horizon the whole way there, popup storms most of them heading off shore, only second time going so still have a lot to learn, brought home four trout, caught a few small ones 10"-11-1/2" and one 14-1/2" red, caught a few shrimp in the cast net, used them to catch a gaftop, a channel mullet, a couple dinks, and one keeper trout, no pics cause it was 4 trout

but did get a pic of this guy who must have seen us catch two trout and a few hard heads and the gaftop and channel mullet

Honestly it doesn't seem like that's very close for Cocodrie in summertime.

Live bait didn't used to be important in the area, but it's a great equalizer these days. Maybe the numbers are down, maybe the fish are educated, but it sure seems like that's the case.
