The lake is just north of Alexandria, some people call it Lake Cleco because its the lake next to Cleco power plant used for cooling the plant

Grew up in Alexandria and fished Cleco, most of the time at night. Don't let the lack of post fool ya, it has some hawgs swimmin around in it. It was one of the first lakes to be stocked with Florida bass in central la and should have plenty of tens. Would try jigs, pigs in the grass for the big boys. One word of caution; don't try to run the lake wide open, plenty of stumps on the westside. I haven't been on the lake in 30 years and it probably has changed alot but you should still be able to boat some nice bass on it.
