Default Shopping online: saving money may not be saving money

just wanted to give people the heads up on a lil experience i just had when ordering from cabelas. I just ordered a new trolling motor. They did not have it in the store. Since it was a large item with extra shipping charges I opted to do in store pick up to get the free shipping. Well after I calculated it all up I decided to check and see how much I was saving by doing that rather than having it sent to my house. Well I applied the $5 shipping coupon(I am a card club member, the extra $14 still applies on top of the $5 though). Well after they work up the final price, it cost me $50 less to have it shipped to my door rather than spending my time and gas going to pick it up in store to save on shipping. Don't ask me how or why, but I reworked it 2-3 times before I pressed submit. Sure enough my bill was $50 cheaper having it shipped to my house. So, the better deal to save money may actually be costing you more. so beware, things aren't always what they appear.

When I buy online most places have a $$ amout you spend and shipping is free...

I just bought 1500 jig heads and the more I bought the cheaper it was and after $150 they send free.. By time it was sent to my door steps it cost me .21 cents per jig head

So some deals are great !!!

nice W! I always order most of my fishing stuff through tacklewarehouse, I don't think you can beat their shipping cost. $5 for 2 day shipping... I'll take it everytime

X 2 on Tackle Warehouse. You get free shipping with orders over $50 and it's fast...2 days from Cali. When you buyin' Strike King XD's...it don't take long to spend $50. I buy most of my lures from them....highly recommend.
