Aint threw a cast met for like 30 years but thinking about it. If I get a cheap net at cabellas or academy I'll let yall know I could use some advice. WE may just drag da camper to GI state park next month and give it a try. If any thing else it will be fun to camp there for a few days and take advantage of the gulf breeze.

I need to make one thing clear. I don't stand on the jetties to fish, or throw the net. I just found that the ones that were literally right on the beach at GI were productive last year. I put my hand on one rock because it was very close in and quickly realized that was a fool's errand. Heading down to Price Lake RD. and assorted other spots to scout things out tomorrow. The weather looks bad, but I'm flexible, and if I can dodge the rain, it'll be a nice northerly breeze with a developing low pressure near New Orleans.
