Scope for .22

I'm lookin for a scope to put on my .22. I don't wanna break the bank on a top of the line scope but I want a quality one that I can rely on and will stay sighted in. Price range is $250 max. Thanks

I'm really liking Vortex products. Both myself and my wife have vortex binos, rangefinders, and I'm gonna put one on my new ar10 when I get it . The warranty is the best part of it .... Run it over with a truck n they will swap it they don't care . i think the crossfire model is in tgat price range

For $250 I'd put an American made Leupold VX1 on it and be done with it!

For a .22 rimfire I really like the Nikon Prostaff rimfire scopes. For the money I just don't think they can be beat. If you shop you can get them for less than $100.

I also like that the Nikon is a 3X9 40mm scope. The Luepold and most others are 2X7 32mm. I have a Luepold on one of my sons .22's and it's ok just over priced in my opinion. I have the Nikon on my Kimber American which goes to show how much I like them.

I have a Leupold VX2 2x7 on my .22 and love it.

its within your price range, it stays sighted in and it has the fine crosshairs.

Nikon prostaff dialed in at 150 on my AR. They sell one specifically for rim fires. 3x9x50 at academy for 160$. Think the rim fire models were like 119 or sumtin. I'm sassy-fied wit it

How far away were you?

I have a $50 walmart Simmons scope on my sons .22.

I'm grouping 3/4" at 50 yards.

BSA sweet 22 isn't bad for the price either.

I've owned the BSA sweet 22 and the sweet 17. I really wanted to like them but had problems with both that I owned. They are the reason I went to the Nikon's.

I won't be satisfied with a unreliable scope. I want something that works every time is durable and gives me good light gathering in low light conditions. I find it's cheaper to just spend a little more money up front for a better scope than to go through the frustration of buying several cheaper scopes dealing with the frustrations of them then finally just buying a good scope. If I'd have just bought the good scope to begin with I would have been much happier and come out cheaper. That's just me.
