Talked to a couple of the biologist working henderson area and their opinion was between the black water that had backed up during the high water and Lowered O2 from a turnover in the water column the area just went to almost 0 ppm O2.
I had thought it may have something to do w/ the spraying for the lillys and hydrilla, but when i rode across the bridge earlier this week it looks like the spraying was pretty far west and just south of I-10

As long as the north lock and south lock are controlled by 2 different parishes w/ no communication or cooperation between them henderson will have problems

Spoke to someone today that said the same thing. Someone also said that they finally opened the locks up at Cocodrie. That should have been done a few weeks ago in cordination with the locks south of the pontoon bridge, which have been wide open this whole time. It's pretty frustrating but, the water is looking great on our end finally and I have been hearing good reports on sac-a-lait.
