Shotgun shell recommendations

Tired of the cheap Estate shells, Black Clouds aren't worth it.
What's a decent brand of steel for ducks?
Probably going to buy case of 3" 3s.

Switched from black Cloud and Heavy Metal to Kent. Kent seems to pattern better on the water.

Last season I shot 3" #4 Rios, and didn't have any issues. I will buy more if available when I run out this season.

Lol I known what your talking about and it's my opinion that unburnt powder or misfires is a result of cheaper shells getting wet. From my experience all the cheaper brand shells don't tolerate moisture well. If anyone knows of a cheaper brand shell that's more water resistant I'm all ears.

I have not performed pattern test with different brands but that study would pretty time and shell consuming.

That sounds very plausible.

I hunted with Bob 1 time when he was shooting Rio shells and watched the powder fly out of the barrel more then once. LoL

Have a case of federal shells that were giving me problems today.
Was shooting my skeet gun a Urika which was very clean shells were not only going into chamber half way.

I've shot Rio's the last couple years and had good success with them, for a cheap shell. Hevi metal is my favorite though

Fiocchi makes a great waterfowl shell. AND they are drab green! I shoot 2-3 cases a year and have had very good luck with them.

Rogers sporting goods . Com has them for $109 a case with free shipping. 3" # 2s , 1 1/5 oz. 1550 fps
