Another great day of fishing "Down In Dularge"!
Incredible non-stop action on Monday as the yellow-mouths were eating up big time. A very foggy and slick calm morning and once we located the fish it was over quick with 75 18-20 inch fish. We stopped at 75 and could easily have caught our 100 fish limit but we didn't have any more room to put them. Fishing with Tony Fontenot and I were my son Chris Lake and his best girl Roni Allemand. Roni caught an 18 inch trout on her first cast and she absolutely crushed the trout on the VU DU shrimp by Egret lures. (Thank you John Dean for another exceptional lure). This shrimp is lifelike and truly indestructable! There is no shrimp on the market that compares ...its the closest thing to fishing live shrimp!! The 3 in. "Creole Magic" and "Chicken On A Chain" Wedge Tail Mullet also was a big hit as Chris wore out the trout! These 2 great lures combined with the already popular Bayou Chub Minnow will get the job done! Tony and I caught most of our fish on Bunker swim baits as everyone was fishing something different and receiving the same results. It just don't get any better!! Life is good on the DU!.
