Default Houma Oilman's Weekend

First weekend in the new Skeeter 24 Bay was a complete success. I had a group of great folks from Stagg Marine and Crown Oilfield Construction. They provided some great food and entertainment for the weekend. Thursday started with the trout coming in hot first thing in the morning. Had to stick and move the rest of the day to put together a box of fish. I fished with Randy Jaubert, Rhett Trahan, and Kendal Frederick. Fishing out of Cocodrie, we were able to find some clean green water. High Life Tackle Cocodrie Cocahoes in Coco Pepper did the damamge! Friday I had Rhett and Kendal again and the morning started slow and we thought we would never find the fish. Persistence paid off and we landed on a hot bite around mid day filling the K2 Cooler with 75 trout. Saturday I jumped on board Jed Angelle's brand new 25 Shearwater. We got a late start but due bad weather we had to turn around. Overall it was a great weekend with good people and I look forward to do it again next year!

Nice looking ride and thanks for the report. I'll be down there this weekend fighting the wind looking for clean water

Was there Sunday and yesterday. Bay was rough and dirty. But they still had some birds working where we were in the seabreeze area. Caught a few there.
