Way to go being one of the first to post that trout are being caught in the bay for the season. Good job.

We were actually out there on the same day. My son and I fished plastics only. Caught wide variety of species, but not many of each. Few reds, few trout, 2 flounder, few croaker, numerous gaftops and lady fish, and one big gar. Everything caught was from between the point and marsh island. Made quite a few stops.

water was stupid clear in the entire cove area. too clear really. Probably why the trout are so far spread apart and hard to find.

I cut grass for a guide out of the bay and he's been talking about how nice the water has been in the bay
It's been super nice on the south end of big lake too and at the jetties

I'm hoping the salinity and water clarity in the bay is a foreshadowing of an awesome fall

Me n you both. I had a rough summer with the trout so a solid fall would be nice
