Default January 23, 2014 2 For 1

I never post hunting reports but this is one I am really proud of. I made a solo hunt yesterday morning. I shot both of these in one shot as they were coming in feet down into the decoys. It is the first time I've ever killed 2 specks in one shot.

Hope everyone is safe out there in the winter wonderland.

They were about 20 yards away and probably 15 yards up into that hard NE wind. They would have landed between me and the decoys if I hadn't shot them.

In spite of our poor duck season this has been a truly special specklebelly season for me. I've had the privilege of calling in the first specklebelly for 4 different partners this year. That is something that I will never forget.

Thanks for your posts.

Default Nice Job

Nice Job Hutch. Went and picked up Decoys yesterday and you were picked up and gone. Had a great time back there this season and I plan on returning next year. Looking forward to seeing you again soon.

Geronimo,

I slipped down there on MLK Holiday and picked up everything. I hope your end of season pickup went as smooth as mine. Much smoother than last year ... I'll have to tell you that story in person.

We need to get together and eat lunch sometime. Have a Blessed Week.
