Same exact truck with a different grill and logo. Pick the one you prefer the looks of and roll with it.

They are one in the same. The frames are interchangible as well as the suspension. The motor options are the same. Without a big list of stuff, GMC has some different package options and they are typically a little more fancy than Chevrolet.

My dad has a 2011 GMC and loves it. Only has about 5000 miles on it though. My wife has a 2009 Chevy Suburban with 32000 miles on it and has been having issues with the a/c for the last few months and they can't seem to figure it out. His is a 1/2 ton 4 door 2wd and it rides like a dream.

I bought a Silverado because it was 2 grand cheaper but prefer the looks of the GMC. Haven't had any problems, but next truck will be a Ford.

I like the look of the grill and the fender design on the Sierra better than the Silverado.

Got a ford ----Glad I don't have a Chevy. Chevy and GMC are the same truck, just different grills and such. The GMC is usually nicer and higher priced. I have a good friend who is the fleet manager at Gerry Lane Chevrolet in BR if you decide on the Chevy. PM me and I will send you his name. Just can't talk to any sales person or he can't help. They will have to make their commission, he is on salary and that saves you money.

Got 167k on my Chevy an no problems.

As I mentioned earlier, gmc is a little higher than Chevy but the options are nicer in a gmc. If ya wanna drive a new gmc, let me know. I do all the nre, used and warranty work for a local gmc dealer.

Driven Chevy all my life. 1500 4x4 crew cab, currently on its 5th year and have never done anything but change fluids in it.

Hands down GMC looks much better than Chevy, but like others said they are the same truck with a different front end and different bed

I had a couple of older GMC's that I bought new, they both lasted about 4 years before having any issues. They were actually cheaper than the Chevy's back then. '81 and '88. Last one was a '96 Chevy with a bunch of trouble. I was dating the Chevy warranty clerk, so I was covered for 3 years. It was a very troublesome vehicle.
