Default Bayou Segnette St Park

Segnette is the closest st park to our house we had never stayed there but used it often to dump our tanks at their station on the way home. After the Holiday rush while battling mold problems at our house we decided to go spend a week and relax and gather our thoughts. We enjoyed the stay and dont know why we havent tried it before. Fishing looks good but I have never tried there. There is lots of good looking water that would be easy bank fishing, and nice boat launches. Any one have some experience in the area we are definitely going back.

We have stayed there while visiting NOLA. Its only 20 minutes to downtown NO. It has a nice campground and always has plenty of spaces available. I never tried the fishing but there are plenty of bayous and canals that could hold fish.

We have used the dump station often but not the camp ground. We stayed a week to kinda unwind and while there rode and walked around and liked what we saw. It is close to town but not what we want. The close grocery stores on the west bank are nice The water ways and canals look nice and the parking lot was full o boats over the weekend even though the weather was crappy. Thanks for the comment. I was wondering if any one tried bank or boat fishing and how was it? Think I'll pick up a map and check out the waterways. I know south to Catawache and was wondering bout north for more fresh water. Or if I could work my flyrod from the bank and catch what red fish or bass? The banks are clean and would be easy fly fishing
