One other thing while we are talking! You often here about 'black' squirrels, there are 2 kinds of black squirrels - melanistic and agouti. Melanistic are jet black and more rare, whereas an agouti is one that is overall dark but the hair has bands of different colors in it. They seem to be getting more common too, not sure what is going on there, maybe global warming? or it could be Bush's fault!

Leucism, or leukism, is an abnormal plumage condition caused by a genetic mutation that prevents pigment, particularly melanin, from being properly deposited on a bird’s feathers. As a result, the birds do not have the normal, classic plumage colors listed in field guides, and instead the plumage have several color changes, including:

Gators are eating my birds......not sure what to do about it yet......only recovered 1 today, and the breast is out of it......im not happy!!

Just need a good cold front......haven't had even 1 bird make it home yet......gonna bring a pirouge next time and retrieve right away. May scare a few flocks, but at least ill bring my birds home!
