The Calc sucks budy go fish the bayou chain the watter is realy clear this time of year due to the farmers dumping fresh watter into the bayou, me and a buddy went, we netted 27 keeper bass with 6 throw backs and the biggest being a 6lb on a voddu shrimp, the smallest keeper was 2 lbs, we dont like to keep a fish smaller than that, we also managed to catch 16 crappie on mini flukes with a berkly power crappie nibblet on the hook, these were some really nice slabs, we also ended up with 12 blue cats on the 20 jugs we set biggest was 12.45 lbs and i can not forget the two bowfin on the jugs we gave to my pal tyler tranhan

I'm pretty sure magical is all it is. I've never seen a bayou with clear water after farmers start draining water.

I believe those numbers we use to hammer them at Arceneaux pump and at Lafaurge's camp back in the day.

HWY 14 @ Laccassine Bayou. That's what we called it back in the day due to Teppy's landing.

I've been taking water quality readings on Lacassine Bayou and Bayou Chene for the past two years. For the most part the water has been starting to clear up as of last week. It looks like farmers are finished water leveling and have finished draining the water off. From late March-April the water had very high turbidity. It's also had terribly low oxygen for the past 2-3 weeks. I'll be taking readings tomorrow so if y'all see some ***** stopped on top of the Hwy 14 bridge at Lacassine Bayou blow the horn and scream at my co-worker with the glasses on to move his darn truck.

It became private when the original owner passed away. The sons went private because no one would pay in the drop box and not pick up their trash.
