Good read and nice catch. That was a beautiful red and bass.... I'd like to make a trip like that (reds and bass). I know you are guiding now, so how much? I wouldn't be fly fishing tho.

Not guiding yet... will take you just to fish if you want to go. Not using a fly rod is not a big deal. Speckdaddy can tell you it is possible to sight fish with a regular rod and reel.
