I used the free version for a long time with my old computer and I just bought a new laptop about a month and a half ago so I went ahead and bought the full version of AVG since I had no problems on my old laptop

I have the free version of AVG, we all have this version on our laptops at work and never have issues.

lets you run a virus scan before windows starts.... there are some viruses that hide in windows and can not be found with a regular scan

you know why mac's dont get many viruses... it because most people use PCs so there is more people proficient at writing viruses on the widows platform...also more scripts and tools that are used in creating viruses are made for windows. But a Mac can get a virus

I personally have nothing against the free version of AVG, but I've worked on numerous computers that were running AVG free that was severely infected. I don't get too many computers that are infected running a updated working copy of say Norton or Trend Micro. I personally use Norton Internet Security on all my computers, and I never have a problem.

Just give it up man. PC users don't want to hear how great macs are. They refuse to believe it and want no part of it cuz the fear of change. If they ever swap over then they'll never look back but until then I'm not saying nothing cuz its like talking to a wall.

Trend Micro is the best out there. I never cared for Norton or MaCafee because they slowed my computer down so much. Trend Micro doesn't slow my laptop down at all.
