Default Rod tip replacement help

I'm needing to replace the tips on 2 of my rods. Abu Garcia Veritas 6'6" med spinning, and a Abu Garcia Veritas 7'6" MH casting. I know the ring (what your line runs through) size is a 6 for both rods, but I can't find what tube (the piece that slides over your existing blank) size is. I called Abu's service department and spoke with a lady who was zero help. She said that there are no specs for them I could look at either. Kinda hard to believe being they f'n mass produce them. I could take my own measurements but they're measured by 64ths of an inch so mine probably wouldn't be too accurate. Was wondering if anyone that maybe builds rods could help a brotha out on a tube size.

The tube size is most likely a 5 or 5.5 on the spinning and a 6 on the casting. My best guess. If you get around Moss Bluff I can fix u up.

There is no standard.

I have some, if you come this way.

Anyone repair them in Leesville?

yep, seams every rod has a little different thickness tip even with the same brands so every time I get the assorted pack and try the different sizes till I get the best fit (usually between the small or medium small size)

Tube sizes for rod tips are in 64th's of an inch . . . a size 5 is 5/64's, etc. If you have a complete set of drill bits you can remove the old top and use a bit to estimate the size of the tube or you could use calipers to measure the tip of the rod after the top is removed. Also, half sizes of tips are available between 4 and 7.
