Default Junction Texas hunt

Findlay able to get away from fishing to make our trip down to Mr Bills ranch . He is a good friend of our family and has been down here fishing a few times and we finally made it his way
This trip was for my wife to get her 1st deer ever and she shot a very good 8pt 1st am ( dropped it dead in it's tracks )
She was hooked ! She shot a few more does and management bucks

I smoked my tags of turkey's as they we're all over us every day !
So we coming home with 3 ice chest loaded with meet !! Texas Hill Country is a special place. I'd move there if it wasn't so far from saltwater, and wasn't in Texas.

Yep nice to just go relax and drink a few

No pressure
No time
No stress ( well wife was every shot )

I didn't even put a deer in the cross arrows , passed on some good chances to shoot but let my wife shoot at everything

She only had 1 miss the whole time and it was on the biggest deer we saw , it was an 11 or 12pt about 140 yards but it was an up hill shot because we were down in a valley were lot of deer and axis were passing

It was a hard shot and she shot about 2 inches over him it looked like .. Almost got a 2nd shot because he ran 29 yards and stopped with two other bucks and just keep looking around then walked off eating to some thick stuff
