Default Not too bad for a monday

The high today was 75 not a cloud in the sky and the kind of day I imagine Cajun heaven to be like. Took ma rusty ole jeep for a stretch, Got half a lb of jerky from Bourgeois's to send to ma son up in NY. and had fun stopped to visit a couple friends and enjoyed a beer or 2 visiting with em. Got home in time to clean out da fire pit, pick up the yard and watch Peg water our garden boxes. I may mow tomorrow ro may not life is great in Cajun country.

Same here, I find its to salty. Kens Deer Butcher shop makes the best jerky that I can get locally. He sells it at the Central Lafourche Farmers Market on Saturdays. He done there till Early spring 2017 though.

I worked on a boat that ran down to Corpus and crew changed down there a few times. On the way home I sued to stop in a lil town called Hillje TX There is a great ole fashoned smokehouse/general store there called Praseks. Their original beef jerky is by far my favorite store bought jerky. Any better ya gotta go west and buy it from a trading post or reservation store.
