Hey guys, just wondering if anyone does any good fishing the marsh inside the reserve. Seems like chasing reds in that marsh would be a good time. Like launching at west cove and going on the west side of the wier or coming from black bayou.

Used to go back there from black Bayou and catch white perch at the bridge, and specks. Reds , flounder and bass back there. Been wanting to go back there for awhile now. Need to figure out why my alarm is coming on when I run more than 1/2 throttle. When I get that fixed I'm gonna make a run down there.

I read something about west cove boat launch being closed to do some work in that area. I would call [337 794-4216] before making the drive there.

Definitely closed ! I found out the hard way yesterday. And the launch about 2 miles north, which I call Hog Island Gully, can only hold about 7-10 vehicles with boat trailers. And yesterday it was less that that with all the people crabbing

If you have a Yamaha, you probably have crud in the channels where the water flows to cool your engine.
