Default Bone-A-Fide Meat Haul

Started our adventure on Thursday when I meant Captain of Team Bone-A-Fide at his camp at Cypremort Point. We installed a new rod holder on his new 32ft Yellowfin because we have been only able to bring each one or 2 rods, got that done and headed to the croaker honey hole for bait. Ended up with 600 croaker, and ready to beat the trout down Friday morning.
Left the camp at 5am Friday in flat calm seas, with a little storm just to the west that we were able to skirt on by, saw a pretty good lightning show though.
First boat to the spot as usual, and we immediately start catching nice trout, but went through a LOT of tackle doing so. Ended up with 59 hammer trout by 9am. Seas were so flat, and Spanish Mackrel so bad, we decided to make our run to the Mangrove grounds. Everything was perfect and we bounced around to 5-6 rigs and picked up 12 nice Mangroves to go with our 59 trout. Plenty of fish to split between 5 of us.

Everyone went back home to spend some time with family, with plans to return to Shane-Gri-Las on Saturday afternoon to cook and go to the big party that night. We had some that decided not to return, so Baybolt23 got to join us on Sunday morning for what we hoped would be a real trout beat down. When Baybolt arrived, he said man did yall see the radar, at which point we looked and were all disappointed to see a good sized storm hovering right where we were headed. Captain said lets just get to the pass and see what happens! Well somebody upstairs wanted us to catch fish and the storm just fizzled out, and off we go. Once again, first boat there and on the trout right away, not the size we had caught Friday, but all good trout that didn't need to be measured. We hammered on them till about 10:30 when it slowed down for us, and we had pretty much had enough. We ended up with 110 trout with 5 fishermen.
Great times on Bone-A-Fide!!! We have been catching Mangrove all summer long, but we have just begun to smack the trout, with the exception of a great trip my team mates had on Memorial Day!!
We all have family plans this coming weekend, but we will be back after them next weekend again!!

Good luck to all fishing the SC Tourney this weekend!!!!

Now Lil Mac, that was a great and very detailed report of your weekend! Great times on an unbelievably fine boat! Glad everything turned out in our favor because it wasn't looking good early yesterday morning! Here's a couple of pics of the 32 foot Bone-A-Fide Yellowfin!!!
