Default Lews & Duce

So I laid my favorite combo to rest this weekend. Come to find out, you can't run over a Duce rod or a lews reel without breaking them... Sad dayImageUploadedByTapatalk1396871253.394212.jpg

Duce is on a return, I have a buddy that I fish with who told me and I have seen first hand their new rods(some new changes). There is a new backer hell bent on bringing this company back. Send me your info and I'll pass on the info and hopefully they can work something out. I don't want to pass out any info right now bc I know they want to get all their ducks in a row before they take off again.

Heres a Sneak Peak of one of the new rods! They are very nice and have improved from the last ones. Major improvment to me in the split rod seat for extra feel on the blank. They have also added some aesthetic changes as well like the Laser Burned DUCE logo on the newly added Cork Grips. This rod is as light as the last ones and like Paublo said, The new owners are HELL BENT on making this product work!!!!

I agree 100%! Such a great rod and I'm so happy to start using them again!!!

They are finalizing the building of the 1st big batch and hope to start selling them very soon. I'm hoping by May.... DUCE will also be coming out with a Utility series (Bass Rods for specific uses like Cranking Stick, Worm Rod, etc), an offshore series and also Spin Cast Rods!! That way Chris D can use them

hahah... I have a spinning rod from them right now... that John Saucier made for himself... I like it a lot but the handle length is just a lil too short for me.

Duce always made a good product. It was their service that was lacking. I think they got too big for their britches to quickly.
I think railside feed in Broussard still has some. I just have a problem paying that much for a rod knowing that any problem I may have with it is mine alone to deal with.

Well im sure in the near future you wont have the issue with warranty again. Sounds like they are out to make a very good name for the company. Of course its goin to take some time to make up for the past issues im sure.

So was there a change in ownership, or just a new push to make things better by the original owners?

Cool deal. Hopefully they can get it back on track. I know I love my Duce the few times out of the year I have time to hit the water... Are the new owners local?
