An old saying that still holds true today...invest only what you can afford to lose.

Default be careful

This is coming from an old fart who has invested for over 40 years in individual stocks, mutual funds and precious metals. What I learned over the years is "you can't beat the big boys". What I mean by that is while you might get lucky guessing which way a certain stock or two is going to go over the short run, it's highly unlikely you will be able to beat the insiders who have the inside info.

Much better just to set up an investment routine with a set amount of $$ that you're willing to invest aka lose and buy the "whole market", i.e. indexed mutual funds such as funds that mimic the market index like the S&P 500 or the Dow or the Nasdaq, etc. That way, your expense ratios are as cheap as they can be and you will, over the long run, always get a market return which always goes up (over the long run). Good luck.

So what company are you going to work for.
Good luck with the tests. There is an app for the series 6 and 63, it has random questions and when you get a question wrong it explains the correct answer. I used it and the Kaplan books and the website , the combo of all 3 study tools helped me pass the 6 & 63.
Holler if you got some questions.
