fished yesterday on the west side. hit a spot that we had never fished before that must be pretty popular due to all the boats around. Found some nice water with bait moving and good banks to fish. Only ended up with 1 nice red... Fished from 830 - 2pm...

Fished yesterday starting at legal time to enter Marsh Island, fished deep in the island, found all kinds of bait, nice water seen lots of Gar, no reds, caught one nice Flounder. One of the tougher days I have had in a while for the work spent.

I think the tide had a lot to do with the bad Redfish action this weekend.

You might have to run out to the EI blocks to find them stacked up with the river at the level it is.

You don't need to run out that far.. Just find the good water and there has been fish. Check modis day before going out and that usually helps you find where the good water is in the bay. Caught 3 man limit Saturday. All 14-20". Average was probably around 17-18" fish. They move around though that's for sure! Anyways... Hope that helps on future endeavors.

Google search "modis today" and you should be able to figure it out from there. Also there's is a "view in google earth link" where you can bring it to google earth and from there you can get coordinates and pull distances from the pass to figure out how far out the pretty water is.

Great catch. How do you zoom in on modis to get a better idea of the area you want to see? All I can do is get the entire gulf coast. Of course, I'm not real good on the computer.
