Was out there today at Tete Butte, water got better as the day went on, headed back to ICY bout 3.. Caught 10 trout, only 3 were keepers. Had a bunch of boats in and out didn't see many fish get caught, plenty gaff tops and a few sharks.. Everything caught on purple and chartreuse wedge tail minnow, even gaff tops and shark.. Lol.. Maybe y'all will have better luck

We were out there on a few of the reefs too, didnt do that great either. Pretty nasty ride out there this morning too, with the stiff winds.

Thanks for the reports. My Pop and I will be out in the am. Not sure where we will go out of. I'm thinking rigs on Tiger shoal early while waiting for the tide to fall then hit the pass and the bayou mouths for red and flatties.
Will report the aftermath.

We started out heading towards Tiger Shoal it was really rough out there. We bounced around a few platforms before we couldn't take the rough waters anymore. Headed back in towards the reefs closer to the pass to find stained water. Only caught one keeper trout. It was a long tough day.

Made it out of FWC and ran out to rigs on Tiger shoal but with the stiff N breeze we bugged out to Rollover, East Constance and Flat Lake but nothing except big gaffers As the day wore on we decided to make the run to Tete Butte being the tide was still up. Tons of bait with fish busting all around. Put 5 specks in the box and lost a couple because I got lazy with the net. Smallest 14 and the largest 22 and near 4 lbs. This happened between 4:30 and 5:30 pm. All caught on dark purple metallic/chartreuse tail SW Assassin or chartreuse gulp. Tried live pogey under sliding cork ....produced a shark. go figure. Yea....save your keyboard....pics or it did not happen. To follow later

Btw. Water was clean until 5:15 the bay outflow rolled in but we still got a few hits before it died off.

It was slow out there for sure. Never seen so much bait before. The trout had to be stuffed from the buffet. I must have caught 10 big nasty gafftops on plastic.

Thanks for the report. I might try out there this week if the wind lays down. I'll report if I go.

Pictures as promised. Not much of a haul but after working all day to get enough for supper at the "last chance stop" I'll take it!

Made a run to Tiger Shoals and SMI blocks in my bay boat today…slick. We got on some nice trout, but had to come in early, the heat was affecting one of the crew.

We hit Tiger Shoals yesterday, headed out with a baitwell full of live shrimp and mullet. Got on a few trout late, but the only bite came on plastics. Ended up with 10 nice trout, only had to measure one of em.

Those big nastsy gaffs fry up great though.
