Default Nautic Star???

Ok guys, so I am suppose to go sign on the dotted line for my new Nautic Star. I am buying that first Shallow Bay version of the 2110se posted in the boating section.

My question is this, I know there are a few guys on here that dont seem to be very positive about Nautic Star and im wondering why?

Is there something in the same price range (low 40s rigged out) that I should be considering?

ive fished in the 21, 22 and 24..... they are all great! no compalints. great, ride, nice layout, plenty of room & storage.

go ride and fish in the boat, bring ur family..... let them have the input......

our opinions are just that..... opinions...... it aint our money, our family in the boat and our decision..... if u and the family like the boat..... BUY IT!!.
but if u find things that u dont like and will b a potention issue, concern..... keep lookin.
thats my .02

Just sold my 07 2110 with f150. Was never impressed with the ride of the boat in any chop, always wanted more power, rig is pretty narrow, etc. Nautic star is not top of the line and orginal owners feel that pain on resale. I bought mine used last year, i rigged it out with everything you can think of before i ended up selling couple months ago. sold for 22.5. I think your better off buying a used one if thats the rig you really want and see how that goes. some love the 2110 and some dont, if you fall in as one of the ones that dont, then your losses will be much easier to swallow. just my thoughts

I just wanted to make sure there wasnt some kind of issues with the boats that I hadnt read about. I am having a little bit of an issue with the fact that the 150 is the highest rated motor you can put on it but other than that I like the boat. The negative comments I have seen on here in the past are kind of making me a little gun shy all of a sudden. I am wondering if that extra money for the puerbay 2200 isnt so bad after all.

The 21 is a more narrow boat then the 22 & 24. Which effects the ride and stability.

I had to purebay 2200; the first edition.
Lots of electrical , plumbing issues.
From what I've herd all the kinks were worked out. I think the fact that I bought the boat from a horrible dealer n baton rouge magnified all the complivations!!
But the ride was awesome!! The speed with a 225 was 62.
Layout was great .

The blackjack listed on here would b a great purchase!!
Can't go wrong with a blackjack!!

If that BJ had jump seats in the rear deck I would have already been all over it.

Call Lake Area Marine @ 337-433-7019. Talk to Kyle or Gerald about the Frontier line of boats or let them give you a price on that BlueWave Pure Bay. Good guys and great service, I don't think you will be disappointed. Tell them I referred you.

I think a 210 Frontier would be in that price range. I really like mine. Very good ride and dry

If 40k is your budget, I'd buy the fully lined Frontier 2104 with a 200. It has the jump seats. Very very close the the blackjack. But again thats just MY opinion. I don't know anything about the new shallow water Nautic you are speaking of.

IMO if you are gun shy then don't make the purchase. The last thing you want is buyer's remorse on a purchase that big...

Agree with Chas on this. The new frontiers are very nice and are cheaper. I was impressed with the new fully lined boat. I know several people who just switched over to them and love them.

We have the 21' and wouldn't trade it for anything. Went to Bird Island at Grand Isle and on the way back a bad storm kicked up. That boat took the waves really well!! I have a bad back so I need to have a smooth ride and that is definitely it. It's all a matter of opinion. Get what you and your family are comfortable in. That's waht's most important. Good luck!!

Is it worth going with the 200 over the 150 on the 21 frontier.... For cruising not top end.
Say 35-40 mph
