Best duck hunt I ever had was in Open water in Dulac..... bout a 45 minutes boat ride from T-Irvs. My buddy put out about a dozen decoys and had a haydels pintail whistle and some call he said was comeback call. The ducks would fly over, he would hit a little tat-tat-tat then on the comeback call then blow the whistle for about 3 seconds and they were coming in wings cupped. We finsished with 7 male pintails 1, female and 4 grey ducks. I need to find them pics.

I also been in the blind with 3 supposedly awesome callers and we only killed a few teal early in the AM, ducks would fly over they would start calling like crazy and keep on flying over.

So maybe less is more? I'm not experienced enough to know

All seriousness guys I consider all of you cantankerous mfers family. I got rid of Facebook and joined sc. I wish everyone on here was like Chris aka Duckgogetter cuz I think we could enjoy each others company. I don't bounce a hen and refuge feed alot. Only when they don't want nothing else I try it and see if it works and HONESTLY is does on certain days. I've noticed at least on my place its a strong south wind and sunny and partly cloudy. But we all try different things to see what we can do to kill ducks because its what we love to do. But really just being there with good ppl and my dog makes it all worth it. Not many ppl state the ugly but I've scratched 6x this yr and hunted those days from shooting time to shooting time and tried tried tried. Good luck to all you know ill be around@

I seriously was just messing with you... There is nothing wrong with trying to make yourself a better caller. Ive had one or two scratches myself this year but that wont stop me from wanting to go. Its always a good time hanging out with good people in the duck blind... even when you arent killin em

It feels like your the worst duck hunter in the world until you look at your surroundings and don't talk just listen.... Nothing but wind and the faint sound of geese. Then you take a deep breath and say screw it what time in the morning... That's what we live for or we wouldn't be on this topic in the first place

Don't take things personally. We just differ on duck theories. Like stated before don't fall for all the internet hype and YouTube vids.

They can't put anything on the Internet that isn't true.
