Bite is On!! Trout & Reds 1-19-13

What a incredible day today with my good customer, friend, and fellow Marine Mr Buzz Mounes. Buzz had such a good time with me back in Dec that he couldn't wait to come back. Redfish was the only thing on his mind so when I told him Thursday they were biting he was on a plane Friday headed this way. After a great night sleep at The Reel Inn Lodge we headed out right as the sky was cracking! Mission accomplished as we put well over 100 plus reds in the boat as they were stacked like sardines!!! After catching our limit we played catch and release for well over an hour. We also got on a decent trout bite first thing in the morning. The trout bit on the HLT blue tiger's and we caught four keeper reds on plastic and the rest on bait shrimp. Yes, bait shrimp. I don't normally bring shrimp this time of the year but thank goodness we had it because that's the only thing the reds wanted!!! Great time once again Buzz, Semper Fi.
