First off welcome to the site, second sorry to hear about your wifes ailing health. Not let me try to answer your questions. Here in the south where most people run bay boats it's hot so we don't need the full windshield to protect us from the weather. Center console give you 360 degree fishability, you can walk all around the boat to fish. Big front and back deck to fish the marsh. They come in fiberglass and aluminum. Most of the larger manufactures make them from 16-24' and some of your larger bass boat builders make a center console bay boat.

Express, Dura Craft, Polar G3 all make a nice aluminum hull center console. Tidewater, Key West, Mako, Kenner, and the list goes way on all make nice center consoles under 17'

It's also better to use your legs to take the shock of rough water, as opposed to your butt and spine.

Lol! Thanks Jordan! If I could just find some fish to go in it, that'd be good...

Need to hook up with me a little later in the year and we'll go down to Big Lake and see if we can catch 'em.

Just picked up a 16 foot aluminum hull with a 30 mariner on the back really realy cheap she runs great i did a couple things to her since this pic like a seat up grade and new lighting with a little TLC she will be back to shining again. Started to test aluminum polishing products and found one that seemed to work pretty well so next day i can't be fishing i'll start buffing her!

question is she big enough to take to big lake and find fish?

Get some AlumaBrite, put it a spray bottle and spray it on there. Make sure your rinse your trailer really well, it can mess it up if it galvanized.

you dont have to have a 24' boat with a 300 on it to fish the lake. apparently some people dont understand that^^ just watch the weather and youll be fine. i did it for many years as a kid in a little aluminum boat. chose which side you need to be on by where the wind is, they have launches everywhere.
