Cheers Unforgettable Trout Bite 11-6-13

Kate Douglas with Manheim and associate's with J.D. Byrider came in last night to the Lodge. Chef Shawn P Whitney cooked the crew up a great Cajun cuisine. After a great night sleep and breakfast we were off at daybreak. Doug Turner (Indianapolis), Craig Baker (Virgina) ,Brad Walsh (Indianapolis), and Eric Gentry (South Carolina) fished with me. We found the trout stacked up and hungry over the 2-3 ft reefs. Matrix Shad (pink champagne and Shrimp creole) under a cork smacked the trout. The trout averaged 14-17 inches and ate like it was their last meal!!! (Which it was!!). Some of the guys had never caught a trout or red fish in their life. We added four nice big brute red fish 25-27 inches that were mixed in with the trout. The major damage was done before 8:00. We picked away at the fish till around 9:30 with the box full. The guys all threw in the towel as their arms were tired of reeling in all the fish. We made it back to the Lodge around 10:15 and Chef Shawn had a shrimp & corn bisque ready to eat. The Du is on fire, as it doesn't get any easier than today. The crew had a incredible time and won't forget today's trip for a long time to come. Thanks everyone for a unforgettable day.

Big thanks to Capt Travis Miller for running the second boat with the other half of the crew. They caught over 100 fish also and had the time of their life. Big thanks also to Chef Shawn for the great southern cuisine. Everyone enjoyed the meals!

Nothing better than happy customers from all over the country. The bite is on fire, so call now to get your trip on the books!! We have the finest lodging, chefs, and Capt's in the area. Come let us show you a trip a lifetime!
