Default Bass Pro to Buy Cabelas

Bass Pro is buying Cabelas http://www.cnbc.com/2016/10/03/bass-...e-in-cash.html this may be bad for the Baton Rouge area. I doubt if they would keep both stores open.

They are pretty far apart so I hope they can. Also Cabelas is more up scale and offers higher quality. Hope that dont change.

Unless business is slow they'll probably keep both stores open. ****'s Sporting Goods, who operates Field and Stream, has built and opening soon stores side by side in Katy Texas.

While not specific to the BR location, the article said that Cabelas same store sales have been down and declining.

Think of bass pro and academy as the walmart of sporting good stores. Cabellas always was more about quality. I always went to accademy for hook line sinker and amo, but cabellas for boots cammo and cooking gear. Their big cooking is hard to beat grinders slicers sausage stuffers and supplies and such.
