I have Progressive for my 28' Chris Craft and my 19' Cobia.
The Chris Craft was $460/year for replacement cost and $100K liability.
When I bought the Cobia, they hit me for an additional $166/year for it.
$30K insurance plus $100K liability. I thought that was pretty dang good.

Hurricane Ike messed up my Chris Craft. It stays in the water all the time.
The adjuster came out and paid for the shipyard to pull the boat out of the
water, pressure wash it and paint the bottom. After he took pictures of the
damage, he input some info. in his laptop and it spit out a check and a list
of what each item cost to buy and repair, including hours for labor.
I gave the paper to the shipyard and they said it wasn't enough. They called
Progressive and faxed them what their estimate would be. Progressive sent
them another check, no questions asked. When the work was just about
finished, the shipyard sent them another fax and photos of damage that
their adjuster and I didn't see. The adjuster and a marine surveyor came
out and looked at the damage and printed out another check, right on the
spot.
I talked to the shipyard about buying and installing my own radar and that
would pay for my deductible. Worked out well for me.
I thought Progressive was the easiest insurance I ever dealt with, for anything.

Progressive.....nice part with them is each year you do not make a claim your deductable drops by 25%. In turn, after 4 yeasr you have a 0 $ deduct. I have a $500 deductable with 25K coverage and I pay & 27.50 per month.

I shopped all around and found Progressive to be the best. I had a claim on my boat where I hit a post bellow the waterline and they wrote a check the the fiberglass shop on the spot. Cost will depend on the amount of coverages you want.

Will echo all the above. I shopped around for a while before I bought my new boat. Progressive was the cheapest hands down. "W" I think if you go to their site you can enter in all your info and it will give you an automatic quote - don't think you even need to log in.

Shop around and let them know what else you found.
If another company is $25 or so higher, go with Progressive.
They are too easy to deal with.
I got mine thru McFatter Insurance in Lake Charles.

I have a $1000 deductible. That dropped my premiums big time.
If you are reckless or think you might have catastrophic damage, get a low deductible.
If you don't do much damage, go with the higher deductible and get a lower premium.
