Default 70 mph blackjack

weird that this hull is lucky to see 60 with a 250 but will run 70 with a 300

Agreed. Granted I am running a different rig, but I have a 220LTS with 250 Opti with Merc Racing Powerhead and I am guessing I'd be lucky to get it to 60 (+/-). Still need more time on it first.

70 is stretching it on that boat. Heck, Chris told me 65 on the Haynie with a 225 Prosx and that is a much lighter boat.

That 300 verado is under rated. They put out more than 300hp if you run them on 93 or higher octane gas. Im sure with the right prop and a light load 70mph is possible.

If you dont care about a warranty you can get 450+ hp out of the verado.

Around 1600 pounds just the boat. Its the low sided bay boat, kinda looks like they took a skeeter bass boat and made a bay boat out of it. I was shocked it ran that fast too.

My 22' Triton runs 64mph loaded. 2300 pound hull but my motor is putting out around 280hp. I can see that boat doing 70mph but not if it was loaded out to fish. I would bet money in the pic of him running that boat has 1/4 tank of gas and nothing else in the boat. Not even trolling motor batteries.

Is the Verado a good motor? I don't know anyone with one, and I haven't really heard too much about them.
