Default Old Farmer's Almanac

So how much faith do y'all put into the Almanac? My wife's grandpa was telling me this was the talk of the luncheon for the senior citizens in Pecan Island over the weekend. I took a screen shot of the August/ September page. What caught my eye was the Aug 10-13 it says Hurricane Threat. Well we didn't have a named storm but we did have a tropical low that brought us the flood of 2016. If you look though on August 28-31 there is another Hurricane Threat listed and all weather outlets are starting to report on Invest 99L which if it doesn't dissipate we will be close to having a better idea to where it's going on the 31st.

Now I'm not one to jump on the weather band wagon. Personally Rob Perrillo works my nerves when he plays up weather events. But I wanted to look at things in the passed so I pulled up the 2005 almanac and found this.

Looks like we definitely need to stay on our toes with this and not let our guard down.

I wish I could agree though experience but haven't wet one line this year! New house, new baby, and work kept me off the water!

The winter gods will bless your pond with ducks of untold numbers!

Edit: If that does actually happen and I foretold it, I better get an invite! lol

hahaha i only dabble a little in shooting "at" 2 legged feathered critters, i like to hunt the 4 legged furry ones, and 2 legged hairless ones that are the most expensive to hunt, i was hoping for cold and dry winter, cause the rain makes the boat ride tough
