Default Lake Fausse Point

Headed to the lake for the weekend and want to try to catch a few catfish. We go often but just can't figure out where to go. I have tried everything (noodles, nets, lines). I alos have tried so much different bait my wife thinks i'm nuts. Told her last night i was going fishing this weekend and she busted out laughing. "oh so you going to try that again"

I have to prove her wrong. So lets here it what should i do? If it's noodles how should i rig them up. If it's fishing pole shoot me to an area. Or if its to by some live tell me where he or she lives. She isn't going to laugh anymore!!!

Run a trot line with something stinky on the hooks. You'll have something the next day

When you leave the park in the canal heading south look for the opening to the left and go into the bar pits. You should find some in there with your noodles. Use shad, mullet or even dead shrimp. Bring your perch rod and jigs or shiners and should catch some sacalait while watching your lines. Perfect weekend to camp.

The funniest way to catch catfish in any lake is jugging at night. Get you some 2 litter jugs put one cup of sand in each one. Tie your string to the neck of the jug about 3 feet long and a hook. Now when you bait them throw then out with the neck up. Grab a spotlight and have some fun. The big ones feed at night. also if you catch one the bottom of the jug is facing up. Bring a big dip net.

Night is the best time for sure. If you can catch some bream to put on your lines even better.
