Is the bank fishing any good out there? Don't have a boat small enough to launch.

For real. Either keep em now and eat em or throw em back for the gators for the next drought.

I understand that nature takes care of itself. I just can't imagine myself taking a fillet knife to a 6+ lb. largemouth and making that first cut. That's just me, though. To each his own. Fish on! I'm not judging.

The bank fishing can be pretty decent at times man.... Ive always did better during the week tho. Weekends tend to get a lil crowded. Either way its beautiful scenery tho.

I have also noticed that ppl kill alot of big fish out there... and Yes it still seems to be slap full of toads... but common sense will tell you that these fish dont get that big very quickly. So at some point it will go to **** again. like it did a few years ago.

It went south because of droughts. No other reason.

Had to cut the guts open to confirm it was a female. Eggs ate good too.

How do you ever expect nature to replenish the artificially stocked pool when you're raping the resources? Somebody call Will Drost.

I forgot that fish hasn't laid millions of eggs before that point in her life.

So it's ok to keep limits of 1-2 lb bass every weekend. (Those fish also spawn by the way.) But keep 1 big fish and y'all all loose your minds with outrage? Lmao.

Personally i dont keep any bass.... but yes why keep a big bass? it doesnt taste as good as a smaller one... and your taking a female than can lay 5x the amount of Eggs out of the water... And a Female with the Genetics to Grow very large. Its simple IMO... but luckily this place seems to have good fish even with the amount thats taken out. Could you imagine the amout of big fish it would have if ppl didnt tho. You would see 4-5 5lb+ fish per trip... But hey Just kill em all i guess...
