Default Hybrid?

Can somebody tell me what kind of duck this is? I think it's a Muscovy & Spoonbill cross. Thanks

I guess I was mistaken. Wikipedia says it's a mallard drake but I think they are wrong. Gotta be large mouth bass with wings.

The white ring is too thick for a regular mallard. Pretty sure it's a black duck. Congrats.

Well it has bright orange feet, so it's defiantly a new bird. Prob flew non-stop from Canada.

While on the subject, can anyone tell me what hybrid this is? We've been loaded with these things this year. Smells like a shrimp, but tastes like a burnt tire covered with hardhead slime. Plz help

Greater merganser duck. Remember they don't count to your bag limit, so shoot 5 extra. You can extract the fish oil from them to make chum.

Good to know, thanks... For real though, had a buddy accidently catch one on a trotline at Toledo once. Banded. So mad he didn't get it mounted with that exact pose. What a center piece that would make.

They band the heck out of those. I know from talking to a few peeps. Kinda crazy that they band them. But then a again they band just about everything. Even birds you can't shoot. I have pictures of King fishers banded. Why band something you may never get a chance to see again.

They ban a lot of mottled because they are mostly local. There is also some genetic testing happening to determine how large the population is and how much exchange between different areas are having.
