Introducing~~~~~ The Louisianan
Having pulled pork from Sunday's smoke I was going to make Cuban sandwiches tonight but changed that to what I'll call "The Louisianan". I warmed some of the pulled pork from Sunday's smoke with a spicy bbq sauce while I griddle warmed a nice size length of Poor Boy Bread. When the inner side was warmed I started with a good layer of pepper jack cheese, next was some Chisesi's thin sliced ham, then the pulled pork and a little jalapeno pepper relish. I added the top half of the bread and put this on the griddle to toast under a weighted pan. When done I took it off and added Swiss cheese, lettuce, Creole tomato slices, dill pickles mustard and mayo. All stacked and ready to eat. Wow! This was a seriously flavorful sandwich!!! |
