Caught some big trout on artifical, but the biggest have come to eat the big mullet. Sorry I don't care about art. vs live. I like to catch big fish when I go, big live mullet is the easy ticket to a big trout. But you still have to find the big trout. If not you only catch 2-4lbers, what a waste of one's time....hehehehe.

What IF.......it was due to the weir being out of commission after Rita, saltwater intrusion begins to convert the freshwater marsh to saltwater tolerant species of plants, and the effects took a year or two to show It could just be Bush's fault though

That comment is completely false; 90% of people who fish the causeway only use artificial.... Possibly bc there is no live bait near to buy. I have never used live bait or been on a boat that used live bait on the causeway. Not trying to b an " elitist" just fact. Now the trestles, hwy 11 and l&n bridge is different. I have thrown live bait there maybe 25% of the time. Those launches have bait shops and when bait is available , the majority of people will use it. But it's only available 3-4 months..... So the other months is all plastic. |
