Default Gulf Shores yak trip

A little out of the area but took a vacation trip to Gulf Shores with the yak. Stayed at the Gulf State Park at a cabin on Shelby Lake which is a freshwater lake across the road from the Gulf. The storm surges pushed saltwater fish in the freshwater estuary so you have a mix of fish and never know what your gonna set a hook on. Caught bass, redfish and trout in the same lake within site of the gulf. Water was very clear with a wierd reddish tint that made the reds the boldest color you have ever seen. Beautiful park, cabins and beaches.

Default Perdido area

Also kayaked and fished the Perdido area. Found some really cool places to spend the afternoon with the yak, fishing gear, lounge chair and cold beer.

the red tint in the water is from tannic acid in the water.
