Default How close is too close?

Been hunting a pond on the reserve further away from the crowd, had one other guy close... Get to the pond early and get set up, shine off if anyone even looked at it. Come shooting time I got spoonbills sitting directly across from me. I'll attach a pic of just how close.. Ended up missing a lot of opportunities on birds due to safety regards. Dude could sky bust like a champion.. Pics on report are soon to come as well.

Ended with Greys and weidgon. Just 2 shy. But overall a good hunt. Just going to have to go further in I guess.

Still a good hunt Braydon. It's amazing what people will do on public land.

Edit: just saw the other picture, WOW!!!! That's just plain stupid

Lol. Too close. Funny thing is I had a guy crowd me on the teal opener so bad I was talking to him without raising my voice and could underhand toss shells at him if I wanted. He was like 20yds from me. I couldn't believe it

I think the pamphlet says 150 or 200 yards. That's far enough for safety but still too close as far as messing up another mans hunt goes. I've noticed that shining people off don't work as well as it used to. A lot of guys come in and set up where ever they want to no matter who's around them. Just got to put up with it I guess?? Nice strap of birds btw

That's aggravating after puttin in the time to scout and some spoonbill comes to get in on the action. The only things you can do to avoid a bad situation is tell him to come hunt with you or you gotta pick up and move or miss opportunitys on birds.

Just shoot him then he'll learn not to set up that close. Did he even have any dekes out. We shoot trees over them first and most get the idea when limbs are falling on them.

I promise I wouldn't have passed up a shot because of that dude. He would have just been sprayed. If he set up that close that's his fault.

Hunt Laccasine for years. All you have to do is shoot a lot. The next hunt someone will be right on top of you or worst they will get there early just to get in your spot.

I'm a considerate person I guess. If we took any water shots, they'd have had some stinging
