Default New Boat ?

I been looking at new boats and the prices blow my mind. Any way i am looking for one close to 22' but wanted to keep it around 40k or under if possible. I really like the frontier but what's y'all opinion on the 24' Xpress HD. They look great but I hear some issues from some people but I can't tell if they are just being bias or what ? I fish all over Venice to Sabine I love getting really shallow for reds and stuff and i fish a lot of open water reefs but have little interest in going offshore and don't feel like I need to fish in monster waves anymore. That being said if I do go out and it gets rough I'd like to know I got something solid under me if I get a little wet in 3fters than oh well. Thoughts Please.

Stay away from a HD for open water fishing, hyperlift is much better in any kind of chop. I am not biased, I have the hyperlift and like it alot. I would think you could get a Frontier to fit your budget, they look really sweet.

I hear ya they are getting out of control with the price.....xpress makes a nice boat but you will never match the smooth ride of a glass boat. They both have their ups and downs. Another option would be to find a second hand glass boat. If you look enough you can come across killer deals way below sticker price. I priced a 210 frontier with a 150 yammy was 32k in houma.

For your budget, ther is a very nice Triton 22LTS for sale on this site. If I was looking for a boat, I would jump all over it!

Frontier 2104 with the 150 or 175.

Call Kyle or Gerald at Lake Area Marine. 337-433-7019, they'll hook you up!

I love that triton but am a little scared of a second hand and of a Merc but my fears are probably silly and unwarranted.

I just hear a lot of people cry b/c it supposedly has some wood like a Haynie but I'm not sure if It would matter if its built right.

The Frontier 2104 is a all composite boat with no wood. The 210 Frontier has a wood stringer system in it like most rolled gunnel boats do.

Nothing wrong with marine grade wood when sealed with fiberglass properly. My boston whaler is a 1970 and is full of wood. All original only cosmetic work ever done to the hull.

Both great engines but I would go with yamaha. Parts and service is way easier to find.

The new 4 cylinder Yamaha 200 should be a good match for the frontier. I like the k2 boats, love my blackjack..
