Default Champion Boats

Do any of you guys know what year the champions were made wood free?
I am considering adding Champion boats to my short list of possibilities, but dont want to end up with transom or floor issues

Mine is an 05 and the center console is wood. Don't know if other parts are wood too?

I love my baychamp! I've fished in a lot of boats, and its as good as most and better than some.

I used to have a 1999 21 Bay Champ. It had wood under the decks. Had it for 12 years and it was an awesome boat. No speed demon but it had an awesome soft, dry ride. I want to say that from 2001 and up the Bay Champs went to all fiberglass, but I'm not 100% sure about that. I believe the 24 Bay Champ, 22 Bay Champ/ Sea Champ, and 2200 are all fiberglass. The 2200 and 22 Bay Champ/ Sea Champ are not the traditional Champion hull design that the 21 and 24 Bay Champs share. I've been on each of them and in my opinion, the 2200 and 22 Bay Champ ride terrible compared to the 21 and especially the 24. The 24 rides like a Cadillac. A used 24 in good shape would be worth looking at as long as you are okay with Champion Boats being out of business.

And by the way, if you like the 24 Bay Champ, check out the Lake and Bay Back Water 24. It's the same hull as the 24 Champ with better fit and finish on the inside. You may be able to find a used one for a decent price.
