Default Bull Reds in Johnson Bayou today

Bull Reds on the beaches so thick that they got tangled in cast nets twice. They were tearing up 5-7 inch live pogie at multiple locations on the beach.

Great..... glad you were able to see the Reds today.

I fish up and down where the rock breaker are located and did not see or catch any reds today. I also did not see any schools of bait fish in that area.

I only went up near the beach in my boat a couple of times looking for bait.

You should have come to Johnson Bayou! Just to clarify, because many folks have their own informal names for locations down here, Parish Rd 522 is the Eastern most point that residents consider Johnson Bayou. Between PR 522 and the Jetties I would call Holly Beach. The are eighty something rock breakers, total. 23 or 24 of the Western most are in front of Johnson Bayou. 64-66 are in front of Holly Beach and the highway. Very seldom does anyone run their boat 14 miles past 60 something rock breakers to fish the ones near the beach in Johnson Bayou. Before you call some else a liar, perhaps you should ascertain where you actually were.

Liar ????

All I said was that I was not in the right place at the right time to see what you saw.

There is a lot of "luck" involved [some call it skill or experience] when it comes to fishing.

I hope the water stays good for next week and I can make another trip to the beach.
