Default Camping on or near Rutherford beach

Is it possible to pull a camper onto Rutherford beach or are there places near there to dry camp? I've parked my camper at the Cameron Jetty Park before and it's always been a good experience but sometimes I just prefer not having neighbors.

you can pull onto the beach and camp. I haven't in the last two years but we used to go out there every year. Go all the way down rutherford beach road and go onto the beach there. Once on the beach go right and follow the path. We went in 40ft busses and a couple large fifth wheels.
But before you do it I would walk it first. I have seen a large class c motorhome buried because he didn't follow a path and went in the soft fluffy sand.

I thought it would be possible if you are cautious.

Stay up on the high ground and you should be fine. It's pretty hard packed. We fish the area right before the first camp and do well there. About two hundred yards to the right of the beach entrance rd. Good luck man.

Ignore my last comment on this thread. I had several tabs open and replied on the wrong one.

I figured it would be safe to pull my camper on the beach but I wanted to check first. I would bring a jack, shovel and boards.
