Sight fish them under floating mats of weed or debris. 1/8 leadhead with shrimp cast to them usually does the trick.

Satellite Rigs usually hold u won't see them on these but there there.. When i started spearfishing u learn lot more bout these fish and where they hide. All though site fishing is easiest when they on edges of grass bouy etc. They dont have to be seen to be caught hide under bouys trash debris and grass mats. In the lake around s end find old crab pot lines sometimes can be line shy. 20lb flouro and small hook w live shrimp fixes that biggest trick w tails is let em eat it watch lotta people see the fish hit it and set hook and he only nibbling on tail I give em jus lil extra to eat it depending on bite.... Sometimes they just inhale it sometimes nibble

1/16 oz leadhead keeps your bait in the strike zone better. I always have luck wit a Gulp! skrimp on a 1/16oz leadhead, but I have caught em on a live skrimp under a cork.

Fish rig platforms. We usally target them with large table shrimp by freelining them or pitching it to them.

I know! When you google "94 tripletail" there are no positive comments on the search. Rather funny. Some even go as far as comparing some of fish to a bream. Really????its just funny to me.
