Default vermillion Bay North Winds

What do you fellas think about the winds this weekend? North winds of about 15mph. How rough does it get going out of the pass? Hammock usually fishable in these winds? I had good luck in Delcambre for black drum, reds and cats. Really would like to catch a trout or two but winds look a little sketchy lol

I am wondering the same, calling for seas of less than 1 foot during the day.

When waiting for a better weekend isnt an option, stay close to protected waters. Pass will likely be rough and dirty. Stay close to the intracoastal.

Very true..there will not be much water at all. Looks like strong falling tides and then the north winds in top. We'll see how it goes!

I think you shoud go try dry reef!! bring a big anchor or tie off on a well.

just kidding, if you can't find a deep hole in the marsh to fish on the north side of the bay, cross to marsh island and find you a deep intersection and fish the bottom. north wind in vermillion bay is usually a day better spent somewhere else!!!

good luck

Went to the cove. Water at shark Bayou looks good. Every boat at the point was fishing in or around shark bayou. I managed 3 throwback reds and 1 keeper. Gave it to a family fishing off the bank. Seem to made their day. Headed to Henderson in the am

Had a buddy fish the cove and get beat down. Only one speck. I went to Delcambre and caught a limit of puppy drum. Good day for beer drinking and bottom fishing. Trout weather may be here next weekend

Might hit the rocks out of Quintana in the little boat tomorrow. Not sure if its worth the drive down, but it is a short boat ride!
